I am the owner of Hair Emporium along with my husband Greg. I am proud to say that with the support of a great staff and wonderful clients both of whom I have become very close to over the years, it has been a great experience.

Although I have quite a full schedule, I am always happy to try to accommodate new clients. If I am not able to book you, I would be more than happy to personally refer you to one of the other stylists in the salon, doing my best to match you with the stylist who will work best with whatever needs you have. At the same time, we encourage you to feel comfortable in trying any of our stylists and be comfortable in several chairs.

I am available at the salon Tuesday thru Thursday and work late evenings Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Jeff Freitas has been at Hair Emporium his entire time as a hairdresser. Although he has a large male haircutting clientele, his real specialty is in foil highlighting and precision haircutting. Over the years he has built a large clientele who love him and love being some shade of blonde! 

Jeff usually leaves by 5:00 p.m. but accommodates his clients with early morning appointments beginning at 7:00 a.m. Tuesdays thru Saturdays.

Because he is always quite booked, please plan ahead in calling the salon at (925)829-2515 for an appointment with Jeff.

 Shelley Lichtenberger

Prior to working at Hair Emporium, Shelley was co-owner of Odyssey Designs Beauty Salons, one in Castro Valley, the other located in Dublin.  After 5 successful years as a business owner she sold Odyssey Designs and relocated as an independent  contractor at the Hair Emporium joining the original staff after our first year in business. Shelley has advanced training and expertise with hair coloring and is exceptional in corrective hair coloring techniques.  She enjoys creating new makeovers and includes instruction of new styling techniques and use of products to maintain the new look.

Shelley works Tuesday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering early morning appointments for clients, many of them male, on their way to work.  She schedules her last chemical appointment at 4:00pm her last haircut appointment at 5:00pm.

Lynn Bosch is another permanent fixture here at Hair Emporium. She’s been a part of our family since 1987.  As a lifetime resident of Livermore, she attended school and graduated Beauty College locally.  Offering salon services such as color and cuts, her multi-dimensional highlights are the talk of the town!  Lynn knows her stuff when it comes to matching her clientele with the most current styles and colors for any occasion. 

She has a busy schedule maintaining a workweek from Tues-Sat usually from 8am–7pm.  Although her hours are lengthy, her days fill up fast.  So don’t put your appointment off any longer. Call Lynn today at the salon (925)829-2515.

 Pedro Rangel

Pedro Rangel is a wonderful local artist who has carried his artistry into hairdressing. After working in several salons in the Bay Area for several years, he found his niche at Hair Emporium 18 years ago. His large clientele enjoys the benefits of his forward thinking style and artistic talents with creative hair coloring and hair cutting. Pedro’s talent and rare “old world” style of gentlemanly charm and professionalism keep his clients coming back for more.

He is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays generally starting his days at 10:00 a.m. and works evenings by appointment except Saturdays.

Trish Slabaugh has been with us at Hair Emporium since 1990 and has become an indispensable part of our salon. She not only contributes greatly to the daily operations of running our salon but is a creative inspiration as well. Her exceptional creativity is immediately apparent in her own sense of style and flair that she carries over into her hair styling talents. Trish may have a new hairstyle or color for herself from day to day and would love to give you a change, too. Visit Trish and let her give you a more conservative look for the office or send you home with a special flair of your own!

  Denise Smith

Denise Smith began her career at Hair Emporium right out of cosmetology school in 1990 at the tender age of 17. With our 12 other stylists as her mentors in those earlier days, years later she is still a part of our salon family and an extremely accomplished hairstylist herself. Denise loves to work with her scissors and especially enjoys transitional haircutting helping clients in the transformation from long hair to shorter lengths in flattering and manageable new styles. She is our resident ”Locks of Love” go to girl having done many long to short transformations and donating the lengths of cut hair to that very worthy cause. Although Denise performs all chemical services, she excels in long hair spiral perming, a service that is hard to find an able stylist for.

 Sandy Silva joined our staff originally almost 20 years ago and after a brief move out of state for 2 years, has been a welcome return to Hair Emporium. She is an excellent hairdresser with an always-smiling personality that brightens any room. She would also love to brighten your hair with her foil highlighting expertise although she enjoys all aspects of hairstyling.  Sandy has an extensive male clientele and is very comfortable with both scissors and clipper cutting.

Melissa Jiminez

 Melissa Jiminez has been a stylist since 1991 and has been on staff at Hair Emporium since 1993. She is an excellent colorist and while talented at all lengths of haircutting and styling, has a particular knack for longer hairstyles having beautiful long yet stylish hair herself. She is also skilled in various techniques for both hair coloring and perming.

Although Melissa has cut her workweek to Mondays and Tuesdays after the births of her 2 girls, she will be happy to take on new clients as her schedule allows.

 For the past 20 plus years Kim Cornick has worked as a licensed Cosmetologist in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on complete hair care for the entire family. Kim joined the staff of Hair Emporium in 1999 and for the last 8 years she has expanded her business to specialize in the application of “Great Lengths” Hair Extensions.

Graduated into the hair industry to apply her own mix of creativity in 1996. She attended the Redken Education Center in New York to further her skills and has also performed her artistry on the platform for several Bay Area hair shows. After settling into her craft, she completed a dream by joining the “well established and proven to be successful Hair Emporium family.”  In 2006, she attended yet another class to incorporate the ever so popular “Great Lengths Hair Extensions.” She is now certified and can help you create those longer more luxurious styles that you thought were out of reach.  Although she is well skilled with both razor and scissor cutting, her forte is in Highlighting and Color. She applies her knowledge of the Scruples color line, a cutting edge technology, to create the look you desire and deserve.  

She currently works her magic on Wednesdays and Thursdays and in most cases, advanced bookings are necessary. If you’d like to create a new look or simply just maintain the one you already love, please give Tracie a call and reserve your appointment today!

Jessica Ford has been a hairstylist since 1994 and worked in several small salons before taking a management position with a corporate salon chain. During my 9 years with the corporate salon I received several advanced certifications and numerous awards for my expertise in Men’s and Women’s haircutting. I was offered a position at Hair Emporium in 2003. Working at Hair Emporium was like coming home as I had been a customer myself since I was a little girl. At last there was an opening for me to join the team.  Besides haircutting I also provide haircoloring, highlighting, and perms.

My full time hours are Tuesday thru Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 7:00p.m. I do my best to accommodate last minute callers so make that call and ask for Jessica. (925)829-2515

 Hello, I'm Monica Silva! I've been with Hair Emporium since 2005 and a licensed cosmetologist since 2003.  Before joining the staff here, I worked at a day spa where I had a great training program with their senior stylist as well as advanced haircutting training with Tony & Guy, learning some of the most current techniques in hairdressing.  I really love what I do.  I specialize in hair coloring and use high quality Goldwell products to achieve great hair transformations.  

I've had a lot of fun in this business and really enjoy all the great people I get to meet while making them look and feel great!
